Opportunities for serving in the community

Serving Locally

Serving in the local community is a great way to put the Gospel in action, building a bridge from our church into the lives of those in our city.  This can be accomplished through planting churches, hosting outreach events, and partnering with local ministries in our community.

As part of our vision to reach the lost and broken in our community, we provide opportunities throughout the year for small groups and individuals to  serve in our local community. Consider where God might be calling you to invest your time and talents.

LOCAL MISSIONS PARTNERS

As we seek to minister to the lost and broken in our community, we partner with local ministries.  Many of our local partners are specifically equipped to meet the needs of those who need help.  A few of our local partners include: Love INC, Hope Ministries, MNA Disaster Response, Pregnancy Resources, CenterPointe Food Pantry, His Place Ministries and more.

FCA ROAR SPORTS

Covenant Church has partnered with FCA (Fellowship of Christians Athletes) to continue the ministry and soccer program that has been done for years that is ROAR Soccer. This is a developmental program for boys and girls in grades K-6.  The league typically begins in January and runs 8-weeks with all practices and games on Saturdays from 9-11 at Lockmar Elementary.

CHRISTMAS OUTREACHES

Every year, we engage in a few projects that involve giving Christmas gifts to children and families either overseas or in our local community.  Please consider getting your family or small group involved in one of these ministries that touches the lives of those in need.  We host Operation Christmas Child, Angel Tree and more.  These Christmas Gift Projects begin each year in early November.
